History and Philosophy
As the first established massage therapy school in West Virginia, Mountain State School of Massage (MSSM) was founded in 1995, graduating two Massage Therapist Day Program classes annually since inception. The Weekend Program was instituted in 1998, with new classes beginning once a year. The Night Program was instituted in 2005, with new classes beginning once a year.

The Mountain State School of Massage philosophy is to provide quality programs that are thorough in concept, executed by a competent and dedicated faculty and customized to serve those seeking the knowledge and skills required to obtain employment in the filed of massage therapy. MSSM strives to provide a supportive environment which facilitates individual instruction, development of professional skills, personal health, inner peace and harmony.
