Current MSSM Students receive 10% Discount Practiced at many of the top spas world wide, Integrative Reflexology® is another choice in reflexology designed with more ease and therapeutic applications for the massage therapist. The course weaves the four theories together to give a new perspective on reflexology with structural alignment, zones, meridians and proprioceptors. Techniques are easier on the hands and thumbs than the conventional reflexology methods. It is recognized for its prevention of hand injuries for the therapist and loved by many of the clients for its therapeutic benefits without pain. This main course will teach you foot, hand, and ear reflexology basics and techniques. You will follow the 4-theory approach to reflexology: structural alignment, zones, oriental meridians, and proprioceptors. This technique is easy to use with the whole hand approach, making it gentle on thumbs. You will also learn about the cautions and contraindications to reflexology, as well as proper standing and structural alignment exercises. Anatomy of the lower leg and foot: bones, muscles, and actions. We will also help you to work with infants, children, pregnant mothers, the elderly, and the terminally ill. And as a bonus, we include the history of reflexology and ways to help you market reflexology. Valarie Dunlevy is a licensed therapist and educator with more than 15 years experience in the bodywork field.
